Add a note

A note is a record of something that happened or something worth remembering — a call summary, a detail from a conversation, context for a teammate. Notes are logged, not scheduled: they have no due date and are never “done.”

  • On a record’s Notes tab (or any activity tab), click Add note.
  • Right-click a contact on a list, a board card, a Home row, or a Tasks row → Add note.
  • Inside a conversation thread, add an inter-message note — an amber sticky note between messages (Cmd/Ctrl+Enter submits). See Inbox and conversations.

Click a note on the Notes tab or in History. It opens read-first at reading width with clickable links; Edit is a click away. The expand toggle helps with long, pasted bodies.

When you view the LinkedIn profile of someone who is already a contact, the extension writes one note per visit listing what it updated (a changed job title) and what it only noticed (a changed company, About, email, or phone, which it never overwrites). See What the extension captures.

An Admin can flag a reference field so the two records it links share their notes — for example, both halves of a couple in a coaching practice seeing the same session recap. Borrowed notes are tagged “via ” and link to it. Only notes travel, and only one hop. When sharing is on somewhere in your workspace, the note dialog gains a Don’t share option to keep a particular note on its own record. Deleting a borrowed note warns that it will disappear from the other record too. Details for Admins: Entities and fields.
