Contact temperature and automatic follow-ups

A contact’s temperature — Warm, Neutral, or Cold — is a colored badge that says how hot the conversation is. Rating a contact fires the workspace’s follow-up rule, which creates a follow-up task for you automatically.

  • At Add to CRM — the temperature chips on the extension pill or a Signals row.
  • On the contact page, in the About group (saves on select).
  • On the Contacts list or a Tasks row, by clicking the Temperature badge.
  • Right-click a contact row → Set Temperature.

Your Admin sets the cadence under Vertical pack. The defaults are Warm → 3 business days, Neutral → 1 calendar month, Cold → no task. “Business days” skips weekends: Warm on a Friday lands the following Wednesday. An Admin can switch Warm and Cold to plain calendar days, and Neutral to calendar days instead of months.

  • Rating creates one follow-up task on Tasks.
  • Re-rating reschedules that same task — it never stacks. Re-rating after the task was completed reopens it.
  • Rating Cold or clearing the temperature leaves any existing task alone.
  • The rule fires when you rate a contact in the app or at Add to CRM. It does not fire on imports or the public API.

The badge changes color on the record and the list, and a task named for the contact appears on Tasks with the due date the rule computed.
