Reply to an email
- Open the thread on the contact’s Conversations tab or in the Inbox.
- Click Reply. The composer opens addressed to the sender of the most recent inbound message, with a single Re: on the subject.
- Write your reply (insert a template if you like), attach files with the paperclip, and Send.
The reply goes out from the mailbox that received the message, threaded so the recipient’s mail client shows it in the same conversation, with the original quoted below your text. Only the person whose mailbox it is can reply from that thread — a teammate can read it but sends from their own mailbox with New email.
Send later
Section titled “Send later”With the Scheduled send feature on, a clock button schedules the reply for a later time instead of sending now — see Send an email later.
Remind me
Section titled “Remind me”With Follow-up reminders on, the Remind me control creates a follow-up task on Tasks so the thread does not go quiet.
What you should see
Section titled “What you should see”Your reply appears in the thread immediately, on the contact’s timeline, and on Sent. If sending fails because your mailbox’s grant has expired, the error offers a Reconnect button — see Mailbox disconnected.
