Newsfeed and the Posts tab

The Newsfeed is a table of LinkedIn and Sales Navigator posts by your contacts, captured as you browse their activity pages with the extension running — the CRM never fetches posts itself. It appears when an Admin has switched Engagement on under LinkedIn settings. Each contact also gets a Posts tab on their record showing the same table for that one person.

The default view is To Review: posts from the last 14 days (the window is set by your Admin, 1–90 days) that you have not engaged with or cleared. A row leaves To Review in one of three ways — you engage with it, you Clear it, or it ages out of the window.

A row you mark or clear stays put, struck through with an undo, until you leave the page, so the table never yanks a row out from under your cursor.

The marks are your own reminders of what you did on LinkedIn — the CRM does not detect reactions for you. On a row, record:

  • which reaction you left,
  • whether you commented,
  • whether you reposted.

Marks are per person: you see yours, teammates keep theirs (a row can show the team’s marks for context, but you only ever write your own). Clearing every mark on a row removes the record rather than leaving an empty one.

The first mark on a post offers a follow-up task, prefilled, with the quick-date chips. It is an offer, not a toll — the mark saves whether or not you take it, and re-marking the same post never asks again.

Clear means “looked, nothing to do.” It removes the row from To Review without destroying anything — switch to All and it is still there, with an undo.

  • To Review / All, temperature (Warm / All tracked), source (All / LinkedIn / Sales Nav), post kind, and Engaged (your own marks, including “Reposted by me”). Each dropdown names its subject so you can tell Kind from Engagement without opening them.
  • Columns sort. Filters, sort, and paging live in the URL, so a refresh or a shared link lands on the same view. Paging is 10/25/50/100.
  • A Columns button lets you reorder, resize, and show or hide columns, remembered per device, and the header stays pinned while you scroll.

Each row shows the author with a LinkedIn / Sales Nav channel pill, the post body, and like and comment counts. A muted – means “never captured”; a real 0 shows 0. The like and comment icons open the post only when a permalink is reachable — a Sales Navigator-only post cannot reach one, so its icons are inert rather than dead links. The right-click menu offers Open contact, Open post on LinkedIn, New email, Add follow-up task, and Copy post link.

On a contact’s Posts tab, Refresh posts opens their LinkedIn or Sales Navigator activity in a new tab — your visit is what captures the posts — and re-checks a few seconds later. The tab also reloads when you come back to it, so a LinkedIn round-trip shows up on its own. If the extension is not answering, the button warns instead of promising a sync it cannot deliver; see Extension not installed.
