Pipelines and stages

Settings → Pipelines (/settings/pipelines) lists each pipeline under the entity it drives, with won and lost stages flagged and the default pipeline badged. Three things can be changed here — rename, retire, and the landing stage. Adding, reordering, deleting, or recoloring stages comes from the vertical pack.

Click the pencil on the stage row, type, and press Enter (Esc cancels). Every record currently in the old-named stage is moved to the new name, so nothing drops off the board.

Click the eye on the stage row. Retire is not delete:

  • A retired stage stops being a destination everywhere — it leaves every stage chooser, the boards refuse drops onto it, and Add to CRM never lands there.
  • Records still sitting in it keep rendering — board column, contact rail, funnel report — tagged (retired), and the stage disappears on its own once it drains to zero. Nobody’s records are silently hidden.
  • Click the eye again to un-retire.
  • Retiring the last visible stage of a pipeline is refused.

One visible stage per pipeline carries a “new records land here” marker. That is where the extension’s Add to CRM, a Signals add, Quick Create, the scheduler’s booked-meeting contacts, and imports start a new record. Move it with the target icon on any other visible stage. Until you choose, it sits on the first visible stage. Retiring the landing stage moves the marker back to the first visible stage automatically.

The contact funnel ships as New Lead → Contacted → Replied → Meeting Booked → Follow up → Closed Won, with Closed Lost already retired. A workspace created before mid-August may still show the older Handed Off name — rename it in place.
