Enter your capture token

A capture token tells the extension who you are, so everything it records is filed under your name in your workspace. Each person generates their own — any Member or Admin can, once an Admin has switched Capture on.

  1. In the CRM, open Settings → LinkedIn.
  2. In the Your extension section, click Generate token.
  3. Copy the token. It starts with ngk_ext_ and is shown exactly once — if you lose it, generate a new one and revoke the old one.

If Generate token is disabled, Capture is off for the workspace. An Admin can switch it on; a Member should ask their Admin. See Capture is switched off.

  1. Right-click the extension’s icon in the Chrome toolbar and choose Options (or open it from chrome://extensions → Details → Extension options).
  2. The CRM URL is already filled in for this deployment.
  3. Paste the token and click Save.

The options page’s Capture status panel (use Refresh) shows the extension connected, with a per-surface status for Messaging / Sales Navigator / My Network / Profile, the queue size, the last sync time, and the loaded build. Back in the CRM, your row in the Admin’s Rep capture health card shows as connected, and the token’s last used date fills in after your first LinkedIn page view.

Now open any LinkedIn profile — see What the extension captures for what to expect, and No captures yet if nothing appears.

  • Show CRM overlay — toggles the panel that appears on profiles of people who are already contacts (tasks, notes, recent activity).
  • Capture confirmations — quiets the per-capture success toasts if you find them noisy. Warnings and errors always show.

Under Your extension, each of your tokens lists its creation and last-used dates with a Revoke button. Revoke a token if you reinstall the extension, change computers, or suspect it was copied. Admins can also revoke a teammate’s tokens, and a suspended or removed member’s tokens are revoked automatically.
