Reply on LinkedIn from the CRM

When an Admin has switched Reply on under LinkedIn settings, LinkedIn and Sales Navigator threads in the CRM gain a composer. Until then they are read-only, and the thread says “replies are off — an admin can enable them.”

The CRM never sends a LinkedIn message for you. Instead:

  1. Open the thread — on the contact’s Conversations tab or in the Inbox — and write your reply in the composer. You can insert a message template.
  2. Click Send via LinkedIn. The extension drops your text into the open LinkedIn or Sales Navigator compose box for that conversation, so have the thread open in a LinkedIn tab.
  3. Review it there and click LinkedIn’s own Send.

The draft is only injected into the matching thread — if the wrong conversation is open, the extension refuses rather than pasting into someone else’s chat. Your sent message is captured back onto the contact’s timeline the same way any other message is.

When a captured thread exists, the channel region header on the contact’s Conversations tab carries Open in LinkedIn or Open in Sales Navigator, which jumps straight into your own captured thread (a teammate’s thread never hijacks yours).

With Follow-up reminders on, the composer has a Remind me control that creates a follow-up task on Tasks for the date you pick.
